 According to the blur, Acer has dedicated its new PREDATOR line of desktop computers to PC gaming enthusiasts. The new line is expressly designed for gaming users, who are notoriously demanding and tend to be high tech experts or geeks as we are better known.
Acer’s new Aspire PREDATOR desktop is coated in a deep metallic copper coloured housing: the front of the body can be raised, accompanied by an optical bay mechanism to reveal a rewritable DVD and Blu-Ray reader.
The USB and audio ports on top of the case - combined with a Multi-card reader - are joined by light effects created by blue LEDs emitting from Predator’s face.
The Predator’s most striking feature is the fact that you can also gain easy access to the Hard Disks via a special door on the front of the lower part of the chassis: the standard Acer Easy-swap Hard Drive solution makes the 4 Serial ATA 3 Gb/s high capacity hard disks removable even when the PC is turned on and in use.
This rapid access and replacement of hard disks transforms the new Acer Aspire PREDATOR into an easily expandable, scalable platform. RAID 0, 1, 5, 1+0 modes with NVIDIA MediaShield Storage technology - guarantees the utmost data security in the event of disk failure.
