Alienware is now offering the Intel QX9770 Core 2 Extreme Quad-Core processor on the new Area-51 desktop computer.
Essentially with four cores churning out clock speeds of 3.2GHz, the QX9770 brings a lot of horse power under your computer bonnet.
Intel built the QX9770 around the 45nm microarchitecture and its dynamic thermal management solutions. This makes the Area-51 much more power efficient and in theory more robust.
A 1600MHz Front Side Bus is on-board which allows for faster read/write speeds between the processor and memory and any PCI-Express devices.
Combine a QX9770 CPU with the new NVIDIA nForce 790i motherboard, with support for both DDR3 memory and PCI-E 2.0, and the new Area-51 desktop should satisfy your gaming hunger.
Price: Area-51 Desktop from £2,300 Inc VAT and free delivery (Also available on AlienFinance packages).
