As most students in the Northern Hemisphere are heading back to school, AMD is showcasing a number of products geared towards students and the entertainment sector.
Recently AMD hosted two events in Los Angeles and New York City to demonstrate its latest line of products including notebook PCs, energy-efficient desktop PCs, home entertainment systems and designer cell phones.
The products include the HP TouchSmart IQ770 PC; the Dell Inspiron 1721 Notebook PC; and the Alienware Hangar18: HD Entertainment Center.
Most of us at Crowdedbrain house remember the PC's we had to use when we were young student brains, namely scientific computers with black chunky keyboards with white keys and 5.25" disk drives. And then we went up to 486sx with 1mb of ram - powerful stuff in those days.
What was your first computers like as a student? Let us know your thoughts...........
