BM Premieres Project Big Green in Hollywood At the "Hollywood Goes Green" conference in Los Angeles, IBM announced that it is applying a portion of its Project Big Green initiative to address energy efficiency for the media and entertainment industry.

Ina nutshell IBM’s Project Big Green includes technologies and services to sharply reduce data center energy consumption, thus its aim is to transform the world’s business and public technology infrastructures into "green" data centers.

At the conference, IBM detailed its vision to help media and entertainment companies - who are increasingly using technology to fuel special effects, animation and new rich media content – significantly reduce the environmental impact of their IT operations and improve their bottom line by the end of the decade.
