Medion - a consumer electronics vendor - has announced that the multimedia Medion 6486 PC – a desktop PC based on the latest Intel VIIV Core 2 Duo technology - will be available in Tesco Extra and Tesco Homeplus stores nationwide and also online at Tesco Direct from the end of July 2007.
The Medion 6486 PC centres on Intel’s latest Core 2 Duo high performance processor E6750. Combined with an NVIDIA GeForce 8500GT DirectX 10 graphics card with DVI-I connector and HDMI port (with HDCP decoding), the PC is ideal for playing the latest 3D games - albeit at lower resolutions - and provides the capacity to handle Vista’s graphic demands.
Plus there is the addition of 2GB of RAM and a 500GB SATA hard disk, so this should be more than enough to get you started.
The Medion 6486 PC also comes with a Freeview DVB-T/analogue TV tuner card with MCE remote control, eight channel surround sound audio on board and dual-layer LightScribe DVD-RW + DVDROM. Finally it features a wireless multimedia keyboard and wireless, rechargeable mouse as well as wireless LAN 802.11b/g and an integrated 8-in1 front memory card reader.
The Medion multimedia 6486 PC will be available in Tesco Extra and Tesco Homeplus stores and online at Tesco Direct from the end of July 2007 priced at £550 including VAT.
