 Medion - known for their SatNavs - have announced that it's introducing a 15.4” Intel Centrino Core 2 Duo multimedia notebook into Sainsbury’s stores throughout the UK from the beginning of November 2007.
The PC will offer a high specification at a competitive price, Medion’s MD 96480 features a 1.50GHz dual-core Intel Core 2 Duo processor, 2GB DDR II RAM and NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GS dedicated graphics with 256MB GDDR II RAM.
The notebook houses a 15.4” TFT WXGA widescreen monitor optimised for DVD playback, a digital Freeview TV tuner with MCE remote control, high definition audio with six channel surround sound out and a dual-layer DVD re-writer. An integrated 4-in-1 memory card reader makes it easy to transfer photos and movies from a digital camera onto the 250GB hard disk.
The Medion MD 96480 also offers users the benefit of flexible wireless networking with the inclusion of wireless LAN 802.11a/b/g, while the integrated webcam allows users to keep in touch with family and friends.
It also comes with Microsoft Vista Home Premium edition, Nero Burning ROM 7 Essentials including Nero Recode 2 Essentials and a BullGuard Internet Security Suite 90-day trial.
The Medion MD 96480 will be available in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from the beginning of November 2007 priced at £599.99 including VAT.
