Description
This is technically the conclusion to our earlier feature where we reviewed MESH's main website and tried to mimic an actual ordering of a computer from their site.

Essentially we ordered an Xtreme GTA Quad Pro PC which contains a 1 year on-site warranty, a Quad Core CPU running at 2.4GHz, 4GB DDR2 667Mhz Memory, a 500GB SATA hard disk, Sound Blaster X-Fi o.e.m sound card, 18x speed lightscribe DVD RW and a 2 x SLI based 8600GT Graphics cards with 256MB of Ram (full spec is on their website).

We stuck with the default 8600GT cards in SLI mainly from curiosity more than anything else and we also got both the standard 22inch and 24inch screens to give you an idea of which is the better screen option. Oh and we added on a power surge protector and a webcam to get an idea of some of the accessories that you can order.

Delivery

If you order your MESH system you are looking at about a week before it arrives at your door, but if you order now its gona take longer we recks due to the Xmas period.

BOX Contents

Inside the box we got most of the CD’s and manuals that came with the Graphics cards, Sound card and the Operating system (Recovery CD), but we did order a DVI cable for our 22” screen, though you do get adapters to convert D-SUB to DVI.

There are no getting started guides except for the sound card, so this is a PC for those who know what they are doing. - Note: We have just been told by MESH that a getting started guide should be included with the box, our review unit just did not come with one.

The getting started guide contains general advise in how best to use your computer and a diagram showing what all the ports at the back of your computer are.

Software

You get Vista Home premium with the MESH, a copy of Microsoft Works 8.5 o.e.m, plus a 60 trial of Microsoft office 2007 software, a 90 day trial of Bulldog complete internet security (though we removed this and used AVG instead) and Cyberlink software (DVD player, DVD writing software).
