Nintendo WiiWith sales of Nintendo's Wii console increasing across the world, so is the age of its gamers. More baby boomers are buying the video game not just for their children and grandchildren, but also for themselves.

The entertainment software association indicates that in 2007, 24 percent of all gamers were over the age of 50.

Wellbeing experts from AARP say in addition to providing entertainment, the game also provides health benefits by ensuring people stay active and don’t just sit down when they play.

After achieving success by tapping into a new demographic, Nintendo now plans to launch a new game, Wii Fitness, that some health clubs will include in their schedules.

Are you an older gamer? If so let us know your thoughts.........
