The water shortage and hosepipe bans have encouraged many people to save water. *Most have changed from washing in a bath, which uses around 80 litres of water, to a shower which uses an average of 30 litres. Others are making sure that the bath water is used by more than one person.
There is much more that can be done to save water however - one great idea is to cut down on washing towels. Wendy Brodie has pioneered the "body squeegee" which dries the body without using a towel and therefore reduces towel washing."
Wendy, inventor of the Bodyflik, explains, "Towels need washing because they get wet, musty and mouldy. The Bodyflik takes off most of the surplus water quickly and simply - leaving the towel just to finish off - and it remains dry and fluffy."
Bodyflik has many other uses, when swimming, on the beach and for camping and caravanning. The small, portable device can bebought on line from www.bodyflik.co.uk or phone 01494 813 923.
