New Pricing Can Ease Deployment of iSCSI |

 aXstor - a UK based Storage Distributor - has announced a 12% price reduction across its entire range of 10Gb iSCSI storage appliances. The new pricing will be a bonus small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) – to deploy iSCSI.
The new pricing includes the Ai-316-1016, the fastest 10Gb iSCSI appliance currently available. This 3U system delivers over 1,160MB/s sustained data transfer rates and can achieve over 86,000 IOPS (input/output operations per second).
A fully-populated Ai-316-1016 with 16 x 750GB drives (12TB) is now only £12,995. Other products in the family include 1U and 2U appliances, with 3TB and 9TB capacities respectively.
The aXstor Ai iSCSI Array Servers can handle both file and block-based data, providing support for applications like MS Exchange and SQL servers such as Oracle and MS SQL in addition to standard file-serving functionality. The server drives can be configured to be JBOD (Just a bunch of disks), striped, mirrored or striped mirrors and parity, allowing the user to determine the optimum balance between capacity, performance and redundancy.
