Humax has expanded its set-top box range with the launch of two, twin-tuner Freeview+ digital TV recorders (DTRs), giving access to up to 48 Freeview channels plus a host of recording features, so you never need to miss your favourite shows.
The PVR-9300T boasts a 320GB hard drive, which can store up to 200 hours of programming, as well as HDMi up-scaling for improved picture quality for those with an HD-ready TV. The PVR-9150T offers a lower cost alternative, with 160GB of recording capacity.
Both models incorporate Humax’s intuitive and easy-to-use eight day on-screen electronic programme guide, enabling you to scan the TV schedule and plan your viewing at the touch of a button.
Series linking allows you to set your DTR to automatically record episodes of your favourite shows, while live pause and instant rewind functions give you full control over what you are watching.
Because the PVR-9300T and PVR-9150T come with two built-in digital tuners, you can record two Freeview channels while watching a recorded programme, or watch one Freeview channel while recording another. Both models also boast less than 1watt power consumption in standby mode, ensuring energy efficiency
Other features of the PVR-9300T and PVR-9150T include:
Schedule tracking – any broadcaster changes to the programme schedule are tracked which means recordings are always accurate.
Split recording - enables you to record two-part programmes that may have a break in the middle for a news bulletin, such as films.
Alternate instance recording - alerts you if a clash occurs in your recording schedule and suggests an alternative time if the programme is repeated at a later date.
The Humax PVR-9300T and PVR-9150T are available to buy from all major high street stores and key independent retailers from 1st August 2008, priced at around £199 and £149.99 respectively.
