Description
The Zippy USB/PS2 Laser Mouse is housed in a silver aluminium frame and features 1600dpi high precision accuracy, three button mouse - with a scroll wheel in the center which doubles as a third mouse button.

Whats more the zippy mouse only costs £7.49inc vat and for value for money you can't go wrong.

The mouse itself certainly looks cool in its silver finish, though if you work in a cold office you will find it a tad cold to the touch during the early mornings. Its prety small (see the image gallery with a picture of the mouse next to a hand) but not that small, which makes it useful for Laptop users as well. The mouse wheel also looks the part, lighting up in a cool neon blue light and you have non slip grips either side.

The product does cut corners with regards to its USB cable length which in itself is prety thin. The USB cable length measures 150cm which we needed to boost with a USB extension cable in order to make it comfortably reach our Test PC- sold separately of course.

Installation was a piece of cake, with Windows XP picking up the drivers no problems, the mouse also works on 98SE and Windows 2000.

The first thing we did need to do was head to the mouse icon - under the control panel - and set the mouse motion speed to nearly the lowest setting, as initially it was lightning fast.

Also we needed to do the same with the mouse sensitivity option in certain games, such as Battlefield 2 as it was way to quick.

General Windows use when this was done was fine and it was pretty good for working on images where you need a little bit more accuracy.

Mouse clicks felt fine and though the device is really light it does feel sturdy.

For the price the Zippy USB/PS2 mouse is a bargin. It does take a bit of setting up to get the best from it, but once it is running it does the job brilliantly.
