AOL & Microsoft Combine To Create Mobile Vista Desktop

AOL and Microsoft have combined forces to create a Windows Vista-ready mobile device. On May 17 last week, AOL decided to launch a preview of its "AOL Social Mail Gadget" which uses Microsoft Silverlight technology.

The device, which was initially introduced at MIX '07, features one-click access to e-mail, AIM, photos and video from the Windows Vista desktop. The device enables users to preview communications, including video clips, from their A-List – the five people they communicate with most often.
