MEDION debuts its AKOYA S5610 notebook |

MEDION has announced the MEDION AKOYA S5610, a premium, slimline and lightweight 15.4” notebook. With its stylish, contemporary design, the MEDION AKOYA S5610 offers the benefits of a highly portable form factor without compromising on specifications or features.
As one of the first notebooks available with the new Intel Centrino 2 platform, it will enable you to benefit from increased processing power and longer battery life.
The laptop measures 365 x 265 x 22/34mm and weighs just 2.7kg - including the battery.
Finished in dark grey metallic, the MEDION AKOYA S5610’s sleek looks are enhanced by cool blue backlighting, including the power button, which is neatly incorporated in the cylindrical hinge barrel.

The MEDION AKOYA S5610 also offers users the option of increasing storage by substituting the DVD optical drive for an additional 320GB hard disk drive, with an extended capacity battery giving up to 10 hours of battery life also available optionally.
Bundled software
The MEDION AKOYA S5610 comes with Windows Vista Home Premium edition with the new Media Centre interface including Service Pack 1. The software bundle also includes Nero Essentials with Nero Burning ROM 8 Essentials and Nero Recode 2 as well as BullGuard Internet Security Suite with 90 days of online updates.
The MEDION AKOYA S5610 will be available in Sainsbury’s stores nationwide from the end of July 2008 priced at £599.99 including VAT. It comes with a 12-month warranty.
