Description
We recently got sent a PNY 2GB miniSD card to review, its designed for mobiles/PDA's primarily and offers enough space to satisfy all of your data needs.

It's difficult to review memory cards to some extent because there are so many differences between mobile devices that you would be hard pushed to get accurate tests from benchmark software and at around £16 its a case of it either works or it does not.

Spec wise you are not looking at the fastest of cards on paper, it can write at around 4.5MB/s and read at 6.5MB/s but in the real world we found it fast enough. You do get an SD adaptor and it comes with a 2 Year warranty.

We opted for a more real world test when putting the card through its paces and during the last week we tried to mimic all the functions that would normally happen during day to day use.

So we recorded and played back video clips, watched movies, played music and ran GPS software all from the card itself and we found it coped with everything we could throw at it, though it was a little bit slower navigating through our GPS software it was to be as expected because the software was designed for Internal memory.

The last test we made was to move the card - via the supplied SD adaptor - into our DV camera and we had no problems with record or play back.

Note: For the tests we used a HTC P3600.

The PNY miniSD card is not the fastest or the cheapest on paper - compared to some of the other cards out there - but we found it to cope with everything that we could throw at it.
