 An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a well established software PR and Marketing Company base in Cambridgeshire. The Company promotes computer software in various forms to a variety of audiences ranging from hardcore gamers to general consumers and gains the majority of its work though word-of-mouth/by reputation.
Chaloner Associates publicises clients’ products to the newspaper, magazine and online press. The Company’s success is based upon good relationships with both clients and contacts.
Expansion of the business has been cautious and steady and the aim is to expand the current team of three over the next few years to 6-8. The Company culture is relaxed but hardworking and there are often tight deadlines to be met. As part of their strategic plans for expansion, Chaloner Associates is currently seeking to appoint a PR Manager.
Reporting to the MD and the rest of the PR team, the PR Assistant will have a key role in providing assistance, input, and support to the PR team. You will have responsibility for keeping the database current with new and edited contacts, preparing mail-shots, collecting press clippings, cataloguing & uploading data to the Company’s FTP and database and playing new games and codes from clients. You will brief the PR team to allow optimisation of PR campaign and represent the Company at Press events as required.
You will be a confident, highly organised individual with excellent administration and computing skills. You will be comfortable picking up the phone for research and speaking to complete strangers. You will have the ability to communicate clearly and concisely under pressure. An interest/passion for gaming would be an asset and a current driver’s license is essential.
