I think people of an older generation will remember the BBC's 'test card girl' image that used to appear if the channel was down or if they wanted to use it to set up their television.
But now in the 40th anniversary year of the first colour TV test card - 'Test Card F' - Sky is launching its very own high definition test card for the 21st-century to help viewers who have upgraded to the world of high definition telly.
Replacing the static image of the original test card girl, the Sky HD Test Card will feature the sexy Myleene Klass who will be talking viewers through an easy to understand but humorous guide to setting up their HD Ready TVs to get the best possible picture and sound.
Myleene Klass said of her role:
"I'm really excited to be the face of the Sky HD Test Card and to be taking part in a little piece of TV history. For me, the test card evokes nostalgic childhood memories of staring at the TV waiting for Playschool.
Viewers in Sky HD homes can tune in to see Myleene from 22 May on Sky channel 268 or set their Sky+ to record the 10 minute tutorial.
