Convert your XBOX into a NAS device PDF Print

For those who have upgraded their XBOX to a new XBOX 360 this cool article will be an interesting read. An ongoing tutorial shows how to convert your trusty XBOX into a NAS device (Network storage in English), this is possible because the XBOX is basically a PC under the bonnet with a Celeron processor and 64mb ram.

The whole XBOX will be transformed once you follow the guidlines, essentially the game ports will be replaced with USB ports, the operating system will be replaced with Linux, a new BIOS and second Hard drive fitted, plus client software added - if this sounds scary I would stay well clear.

The article goes into some depth but shows images and step by step instructions so if you want to turn your XBOX into a network storage device then this is defo worth a read.
