D-Link has introduced the DI-724GU, a wireless Gigabit Router designed for the small office and small business environment. The DI-724GU’s wireless interface (802.11g) uses 3dbi dual antennas for exceptional wireless signal range and delivers a maximum wireless signal rate of up to 108Mps when used with other D-Link devices that support the Turbo speed.
It also features a built-in USB 2.0 port can be used for both print server functionality and Windows Connect Now. A USB printer can be connected to the router for sharing among network users.
Network security remains a key concern for organisations of all sizes, and the DI-724GU addresses this issue by providing a set of security features. It includes a Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI) and Network Address Translation (NST) double firewall functionality with Denial of Service (DoS) attack protection to safeguard the network.
The DI-724GU has a recommended retail price of £115.00 exclusive of VAT and will be available from December 2006.
