Businesses requiring a high performance, cost-effective Switch have had their prayers answered it seems, with the introduction of the DGS-3627G 24-port Layer 3 Stackable Management switch from D-Link,.
With its advanced feature set and scalability, the DGS-3627G should be an ideal long-term business investment for SMBs and Enterprises.
Flexibility is a key feature of the DGS-3627G Switch, which is a fully managed Layer 3 switch that provides 24 SFP ports and 4 Combo 1000BASE-T Gigabit Ethernet ports.
The DGS-3627G also provides virtual stacking functionality via D-Link SIM technology allowing up to 32 units to be managed via single IP address, meaning the switch can be centrally managed, saving on valuable resources.
The DGS-3627G’s 24 SFP ports means that it provides a full-fibre environment for long distance Ethernet infrastructure which is suitable for the FTTx and MAN (Metropolitan Area Network).
10 Gigabit Ethernet open slots in the back-panel can be plugged with 10GE XFP modules for fibre uplinks or 10GE copper modules for inter-device connection.
The switch is highly scalable too, as it can be stacked with 10 Gigabit copper modules providing up to 40 Gigabit stacking bandwidth, or can be stacked with DGS/DXS-3300 series switches with D-Link SIM technology.
With support for IPv4/IPv6 static and dynamic routing and a plethora of advanced security and enhanced QoS features, the xStack DGS-3627G should provide both performance and advanced security features.
The inclusion of D-Link’s ZoneDefense also integrates the switch with a central NetDefend Firewall to enable Proactive Network Security, by preventing viruses from spreading through the network, thus thwarting harmful network attacks.
The DGS-3627G will be available from October for a suggested retail price of £2,150.
