D-Link have launched their DHP-301 PowerLine HD kit, which is not just another wireless technology, the powerLine adapters take advantage of active wall sockets to transfer traffic.
This enables you to extend your network simply by tapping into an existing electrical wiring set-up, thus providing homes or your business with a fast and cost-effective alternative to traditional Ethernet installations.
Delivering data transfer rates of up to 200Mbps, D-Link’s PowerLine HD should provide ample bandwidth.
D-Link’s PowerLine adapter transmits data by intelligently adapting to the strongest signal channels. Electrical currents do not interfere with the data network because electricity and data are transmitted at very different frequencies.
In addition DLink’s PowerLine HD includes a built-in Quality-of-Service (QoS) engine that prioritises data packets in order to enhance HD video and audio streaming, online gaming and VoIP calling. Security is one of D-Link’s priorities when developing a product and therefore the DHP-301 provides 3DES encryption for securing the connection, thus helping to keep network data safe from intruders.
The DHP-301 PowerLine HD Ethernet Starter Kit is available now with a suggested retail price of £129.99. Visit www.dlink.co.uk for more information.
