Today NETGEAR announced the availability of the ProSafe SSL VPN Concentrator 25 or to keep things short the SSL312. The product is designed with an easy-to-use approach and reliable SSL VPN Solution that delivers clientless, secure remote access to network resources for small-and mid-sized businesses under 100 users.
Thr SSL312 allows access to corporate networks for Up to 25 concurrent remote users through a
Standard Web Browser using the popular e-commerce protocol, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
By eliminating the need to install special client software on the remote computer, mobile workers can securely access the corporate network easily and affordably using any PC and standard Web browser from anywhere with Internet access.
NETGEAR’s SSL312 comes with two 10/100 Ethernet ports and a console port for remote manageability. The SSL312’s advanced features include SSL support for security and privacy, granular policy configuration tools for complete control over individual user access, and a clientless architecture that eliminates the high cost of installing, configuring and maintaining client software.
The ProSafe SSL VPN Concentrator 25 (SSL312) which ensures data privacy with SSLv3 and TLSv1.0 with AES-256, cryptographic hash algorithms such as MD5 and SHA-1 and optional automatic cache cleanup after session termination to ensure privacy of data, supports 25 concurrent remote users
to securely access resources using standard web browsers such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Apple Safari. In addition to integrating with a broad range of user repositories, such as Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, and RADIUS, for user authentication, the SSL312 interoperates with standard
based firewalls including NETGEAR’s ProSafe line of VPN Firewall Routers to provide a complete security solution.
The SSL312 is backed by a 3-year warranty and 24/7 technical support. Optional NETGEAR ProSupport service offerings include advanced technical support (OnCall 24x7 PMB0331-100) and next business day hardware replacement (XPressHW PMB0331, PRR0331).
The SSL312 is available now via direct marketers, e-commerce sites, and value-added resellers at a
list price of $545.
