AOC presents its New Year’s “resolutions”: stylish Full HDs, curved QHDs

Display specialist AOC presents a few options to start the Festive/New Year with bigger displays, higher resolutions and the quickest panels ever! While winter is coming to the northern hemisphere with shorter days and colder nights, it is the best opportunity to relax in a cozy place and watch your favourite movies/TV-shows and play video games.

PDS Series and its unique look designed by Studio F. A. Porsche
PDS241 B

Launched this spring, the PDS series represents the pinnacle of monitor design, thanks to its appearance conceptualised jointly with the famous design house Studio F. A. Porsche. The 24” PDS241 and the 27” PDS271 have the slimmest profile ever at 5.2 mm, even thinner than most smartphones. These monitors also boast the latest generation IPS panels with Full HD resolution, 4 ms GtG response time and a wide colour gamut of 100% sRGB and 90% NTSC support. This wide colour gamut coverage allows these monitors not only to be a design object, but an object to design with as well!

What makes the PDS series so unique is their look. The minimalistic appereance is achieved by combining the necessary cables (power and signal) into the design of the stand itself. The twisted look of the stand in a silver finish is inspired by the way cables naturally twist. These connections run through the stand and end up in a modular box, where they are separated again. Together with an almost frameless design on 3-sides, users can dive right into the brilliant images.

AGON Series for gaming
AG322QCX FTL KV

To brighten up the dark winter season AOC has something even more enticing for gamers. With the lastest blockbuster AAA titles being launched just in time for the holiday season, gamers can take advantage of the many sales and special offers at various etailers & retailers.

Since last year AOC has been releasing a steady stream of innovative and desirable high-end gaming monitors in its premium gaming line-up AGON.

The AG322QCX, launched this summer has features that a serious gamer could desire. This beast is equipped with a 31.5” VA panel with a 2560 x 1440 (QHD) resolution supporting 3000:1 static contrast, 144 Hz refresh rate and FreeSync support for the most smooth and fluid gameplay experience. Its 1800R curvature lets users truly immerse themselves in virtual battlegrounds.

For an even more immersive experience, users should look to the AG352UCG with its 21:9 aspect ratio. Its ultra-wide 3440x1440 (UWQHD) resolution delivers an even more encapsulating experience than its 16:9 brother, covering users’ whole vision with its 2000R curvature. A 100 Hz refresh rate and G-SYNC support contribute to a smooth, tear-free and stutter-free experience.

The most competitive and hardcore gamers contending in FPS games usually are not concerned about curvature or ultra-wide screens. Their main focus are the fastest panels on the market. The recently launched AG251FG is such a display, with a whooping 240 Hz refresh rate and just 1 ms response time, coupled with G-SYNC support. Equipped with a Full HD resolution TN panel, the AG251FG guarantees that gamers will achieve the highest framerates to match their equally fast reflexes on their monitors. Experience it yourselves once and see the difference of 240 Hz vs regular 60 Hz. Beware, you may not want to go back to a slower monitor ever!

Freshen up your homes & offices with the new “frameless” 90 Series

For everyday, multimedia or office users, AOC has also spruced up its B2B line-up with the new 90 Series. These monitors in 23.8” or 27” size are offered in either simple or fully ergonomic stands; and all models boast the latest IPS panels with wide viewing angles and wide colour gamut coverage (100% sRGB and 90% NTSC). Equipped with 3-sides “frameless” bezels, these monitors bring sleekness as well as freshness to offices and homes alike. What is more, they lend themselves to seamless multiple monitor set-ups without distracting gaps between the units. The flagship model, Q2790PQU comes with QHD (1440p) resolution, while all other display of the series come with Full HD (1080p) resolution. Selected models also boast a USB 3.0 hub, offering easy access for external peripherals such as USB sticks and even a quick charging USB port for mobile devices.
