Quite PC are the exclusive sellers of MSI's new water cooled 8800GTX cards, which will arrive tomorrow . On first impressions the card looks impressive but a tad stange to look at, without the usual covering you get with standard cards. People thinking of buying one will have to ensure their cases can handle 120mm fans as the airflow is generated by one.
"The GPU waterblock is connected directly to a small pump which moves the warm water to a radiator. The radiator has a quiet running 120mm fan attached directly to it. The radiator is attached to the side of the chassis so the airflow generated by the fan passes through the radiator and then directed out of the chassis."
The benefits of the above card speak for themselves, for one you won't have to add a custom cooling system to the card as the work has already been done for you and secondly you can get faster speeds from what is already a fast card!
"The standard speeds of a 8800GTX are 575MHz for the GPU and 1800MHz for the memory. MSI supply this card over-clocked to 610MHz for the GPU and 2000MHz for the memory."
