Description
Though the Logic3 i-Station Traveller speakers are sold as a solution for iPods they will work with anything with a 3.5" or 2.5" socket, so if you have an old laptop with duff speakers or want to bring your mobiles music to life then you could do worse than grab a set of these babies.

The speakers may be powered by a 32mm neodymium drivers with a total of 4W music power but they sound like a set of more expensive speakers, as the sound quality was pretty impressive.

Available in six colours, pink, red, blue, green, silver and black, you get 4 x AAA batteries included in the pack and a 3.5 to 2.5" audio converter, thus this should accommodate most MP3 and mobiles on the market.

When the speakers are closed they are pretty tiny and weigh around 156g making them ideally portable. The pack also comes with a carry bag so you can protect your investment during your travels and from a build quality point of view they are pretty sturdy for a device costing £20.

When using the speakers you can either stand them flat or you can unfold the centre piece and expand the speakers either side (with back rests) so you can place your iPod/phone inside. We nearly forgot to mention that when the speakers are expanded you can also tilt them backwards.

For larger devices or for phones with ports to the side, you can rest them on the back of the speakers and use the piece of rubber on the central part for sloping your device - so the screen is facing you at an angle.

For connecting the speakers the 3.5" lead is integrated into the back which means you are not carrying any spare cables around, but on the downside there is not much slack with the wire.

Other features we would have liked to see would have been a volume control, as you are restricted to changing the volume via your mobile device.

We have to admit the speakers struggle sometimes with base tracks, but only when the maximum volume is piped through them, but on the up side the speakers can fill a room quite easily and Rock, Pop, plus Dance music all played fine through the speakers.

The Logic3 i-Station Traveller speakers produced some great quality for such a low cost product. At around £20 they are a steal and they can work with any device with a 3.5"/2.5" socket.

Note: So far the speakers are still playing after a week of listening to music, so the batteries do the job nicely.
