LG Propriety
Description
One thing’s for sure the iPhones release certainly had an avalanche affect on the market place, with several manufactures trying to jump on the touch screen bandwagon and the LG Viewty is one of the better alternatives.
Box Contents
As always we take a look what you get inside the box, for starters you get a Stylus, Mains Charger, Handsfree Kit, USB Data Cable, Screen Protector and an Instruction Manual.
The Stylus probably won't appeal to everyone's taste due to the fact that it’s shaped almost like a lipstick.
Also the device uses its own propriety USB/Mains connector, so you have to ensure that you keep the cables safe and handy.
Additional: Like the iPhone you can get a TV-Out cable for this device, but we are unsure of the cost of this. A few people have got this device to work with SanDisk 8GB cards - check out Ron's post on the
SlashGear website for the answer.

Design
On first impressions the design of the LG is similar to the appeal of the iPhone, its front mainly contains the screen, with a few buttons at the base for voice calls.
However the profile is a lot smaller and manageable than the latter, plus it’s lighter as well.
To the right you have a multimedia control switch which takes you to your image gallery, camera or video option and there is a lock/unlock/image stabiliser button and the camera button for taking your snaps.
To the left side the USB/Mains port which is housed under a protective slide out cover.
Unfortunately the microSD card slot is positioned underneath the battery, which does become a real pain in the ass to keep removing and replacing.
The camera lens at the back does not feature a dust cap and its zoom/volume control is placed awkwardly by the lens itself - which takes a bit of practice to use properly.
