Finally Microsoft have announced the release of the official update to Vista, lets hope it provides several key performance enhancements that the OS desperately needs. Withought listing all of the fixes the SP1 update will address specific reliability, performance, and compatibility issues. As well as supporting new types of hardware and adding support for several emerging standards. The download comes in two flavours a 434MB 32-bit version and a more beefy 726MB 64-bit version.
