Creative GigaWorks G550W Speakers PDF Print

The GigaWorks G550W (THX-certified) speakers from Creative features 2.4GHz wireless technology, which should ensure strong, clear signal transmission to the rear speakers over distances of up to 30 feet/6 metres.

Furthermore the speakers are designed to be immune from mobile phone interference. The rear speakers, which require only a single socket to draw their power, receive music signals via a compact wireless receiver that can be positioned discretely in the rear of the room.

The G550W is based on the design and technology of the GigaWorks ProGamer G500. It delivers 310 Watts of total RMS power and features a 130 Watts RMS wooden subwoofer with an eight-inch, long-throw driver and twin Flared Dyna-Ports to maximise airflow for deep, intense bass. Each of the five satellite speakers has a three-inch, full-range driver with a Flared Dyna-Port that extends the low to mid-range frequency response.

Each satellite features spring clips that give users the flexibility to adjust or substitute signal wires, plus standard connectors for speaker stands or wall-mounting. The wireless remote gives control over total system volume, subwoofer output, and front, rear and centre channel levels.

To take advantage of the 5.1 speakers you will need a decoder, Creative recommend using their DDTS-100 (available separately) which is compatible with consoles such as the PS2 and the Xbox 360.

Finaly the wireless remote gives control over total system volume, subwoofer output, and front, rear and centre channel levels. It can also control play, pause, mute, track selection and audio mode on compatible Creative Zen MP3 players.
