Creative, has announced its new top-of-the-line GigaWorks T40 stereo speaker system. The GigaWorks T40 have been designed primarily for listening to music.
“With the growth of PCs, notebooks and MP3 players as hubs for digital music, people are now looking for speakers that will give them the same audio quality as they get from their traditional hi-fi systems,” explains John Keybeck, European Brand Manager for Speakers with Creative.
Inside each satellite, Creative engineers have built two high-performance midrange drivers with woven glass fibre cones for warmth and stability, allied to a dedicated high-end tweeter with a cloth dome for clarity.
These components, which have been arranged in MTM (midrange-tweeter-midrange) configuration for precision and balance, are augmented by BasXPort technology which has been designed to give strong, dynamic bass that’s in proportion to the high and mid-range output.
The resulting sound profile, which is rich, detailed and realistic, is achieved without the use of a subwoofer.
For ease of control, the GigaWorks T40 system has front-mounted controls for volume, bass and treble. Its connectivity allows the user to connect a PC and MP3 player simultaneously.
iPod users can purchase a separate iPod docking unit which comes with a remote control. They just drop-in the player, scroll through their tracks, and enjoy the music.
