iZ3D - a US-based 3D technology development and marketing company - will be showcasing its 22” widescreen monitors at the upcoming Summer 2007 CPL Championships from August 30th to September 2nd, 2007 at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas, Texas. Participants will be able to see the screen in all its stereoscopic 3D gaming glory, plus be eligible to win an assortment of prizes.
iZ3D’s 22” monitor takes flat 2D games, and turns them into three-dimensional experiences by making characters and effects blast into and out of the screen.
“Drop by iZ3D and watch the faces of the tournament players trying their luck in 3D. See how our technology puts a whole new WOW factor into a game, and learn how you can stay competitive by being ready for this new wave of 3D gaming excitement,” said David Chechelashvilli, Vice President of Marketing for iZ3D LLC.
The new advanced video monitor displays nside and outside the screen 3D images with the help of comfortable passive polarized glasses. It is designed to completely replace traditional monitors by equally offering commercial image quality and display brightness for 2D non-gaming purposes. Push a button and switch instantaneously to 2D or back to 3D viewing.
Unlike other stereoscopic 3D solutions, it is rare for players to experience eyestrain, spatial disorientation, headache, and nausea while using the iZ3D monitor.
The unit is powered by any current personal computer with a dual output video card.
Specifications include 1680 x 1050 resolution, up to 120-degree viewing angle, 5 ms response time, and 800:1 contrast ratio with the same brightness as commercial monitors. It also has dual interface capability with DVI and DVI/VGA inputs.
Availability and Price
Monitors can be purchased via www.iz3d.com website at a street price of $999.00 (equivalent to around £497).
