Buying a MESH Part 1 - Feature  PDF Print
Software Websites

It's here that you can appreciate the sites best feature and that is each item in the spec list can be clicked on and will give you a detailed description of what the part has to offer, so for example if you wanted to know the dimensions of your chosen case, simply click on the details button to find out. For newcomers this is helpful in gaining an understanding of the components that you are buying, plus it means you don't have to move away from the site in order to get further info.

At this basic stage you can then save a quote, print or send the page via email (registration is required for this but is pretty standard and straightforward).

On the subject of saved quotes, once you have saved an item you can easily log into your account and view the full spec of the machine you saved (quotes normally last around 7 days).

Clicking on the customise button will of course allow you to add or remove certain parts from the machine, though you will find the parts list different depending on the machine you order.*

Again you can click on a graphic icon next to the component you want to add - to get a more detailed view of the part you are interested in ordering.

We also liked that the total value box scrolls down the page with you at the same time as you scroll the mouse, so you get a full page view whilst still being able to keep an eye on your purchase price.

When you are ready to order you can once again save a quote, print the order or head straight to the checkout.

At the checkout stage you then have an option to input your postcode to gain additional delivery options, you can use these to pinpoint the time your machine arrives, for example get 'Before noon delivery'. Though it does not seem to tell you how long the machine will take to arrive at this stage, it could prove useful none the less.

Once your order has been completed you will get a sales order acknowledgement email which you can then use to track changes of your order (via the Account system).

We forgot to mention that the MESH site also seems to sell components as well, ranging from GPS devices to cases, most of these are what you would expect to find inside the PC's mentioned earlier. But once again it’s pretty straight forward to navigate through and to find info on the products in question.

The support section seems to follow in style to the rest of the website to and you can gleam info via the FAQ's, but most support is only available once you have bought a computer - so we will come to this when we review the product.

Overall the MESH site was easy to use for ordering and it was fun to save quotes and check out the specs of the machines. Now all we need to do is wait for the PC to arrive, we stuck this on standard delivery so we will let you know how long - in practical terms - this takes to arrive. **Here is the link to the Review**

*Sometimes it’s cheaper to buy a more expensive computer than to upgrade a lower spec machine, as the prices come out slightly more expensive. But this is just standard stuff and because the save quote system will give you a detailed list of all the computers you have added, it’s quite fun to keep comparing machines and prices.

The MESH website certainly does its job well and provides a playground of great computer technology that can be easily navigated via a touch of a button.

We liked the way you can get details of some of the upgrades or standard parts that you get when buying your machine, thus allowing you to stay on the website instead of having to find the info elsewhere.

We look forward to seeing if the PC we ordered is as good as their website. Update: review of the PC we ordered is now live.
