LGC Wireless - specialized wireless coverage and capacity solutions company - has decided to join the WiMAX Forum, an industry-led non-profit organization committed to promoting and certifying interoperable WiMAX products.
WiMAX technology is designed to help service providers across global markets deliver economical broadband data, voice and video services to both residential and business customers.
“The WiMAX Forum stimulates the development of new products based on the IEEE 802.16 and ETSI HiperMAN standards, and we look forward to future certification of forthcoming products based on those standards,” said John Spindler, vice president of marketing at LGC Wireless. “We believe that in-building coverage and capacity solutions will be a key to the rapid adoption of WiMAX, and as the leader in in-building coverage, we are committed to developing new wireless coverage and capacity solutions for the WiMAX market.”
